Staying up all night to watch the
Royal Wedding with my British roommate was such a great experience. Yes, we could have slept in and watched clips or highlights of it when we were awake and more competent, but there was just something about watching it happen live. Cuddled up in our blankets and pillows thrown across the floor, we watched as people began to file into the Abbey. Beautiful hats and fascinators of all different shapes, colors, and sizes filled the room along with people we didn't know from Adam, but we assumed were of great importance to either Prince William, Kate, or England in general. :)
Kate truly looked the part of "princess" this morning in her stunning by Sarah Burton...and the Prince's, now the Duke of Cambridge's, romantic side was revealed as he kissed her a second time on the balcony of Buckingham Palace and then drove off in an Aston Martin with plates that read, "JUST WED"
Sort of a modern day fairytale, don't you think? A perfectly beautiful "common" girl is swept up by an enchanting prince who truly loves her. Have you seen their interviews together? Their dynamic is completely different when placed next to Princess Di and Prince Charles. I'm sure Leanda will post her own feelings on this wonderful event since she cried during the ceremony and has been re-watching highlights, clips, and updates of it all day. Such a Brit! :)
Anyway, that's all I have for today. Have a lovely weekend and if it's not snowing where you are...enjoy it because wherever the sun is shining, the snow is sent here to Rexburg. Woooo. :) Now I am in the mood to go to my friend Sarah Warren's wedding this upcoming month. She, just like Kate, is absolutely gorgeous and I couldn't be happier for her and her soon-to-be hubby Mike. I just love weddings!
LOVE, Krysta

P.S. Have you seen Kate's evening gown for the reception?
gorgeous.
